Farida Gasimova, Professor at the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction

I regularly attend international exhibitions, both in Azerbaijan and abroad. I have had the opportunity to visit Italy and France, and I am well aware of the scale, scope, and informativeness of these events. Therefore, it is encouraging to see so many companies and visitors from different countries at the Baku Construction Week. This reflects the demand for the local construction market and demonstrates that our country is keeping pace with global trends.

At the exhibition held at the Baku Expo Centre, what first draws my attention are the modern technologies presented in the fields of architecture and construction. I am particularly interested in smart technologies that are being integrated into contemporary design and architectural planning.
I would like to especially highlight the finishing and construction materials, as well as the exhibits showcasing modern design and architectural projects for the restoration of territories liberated during the Second Karabakh War. This topic is significant to me, as, being a professor, I must convey the latest trends to the younger generation. I was especially impressed by the "Rebuild Karabakh" exhibition. The large-scale projects being implemented in this region showcase how many modern trends and innovations are being applied in the design of various structures in the Karabakh region. Here, one can observe impressive spatial solutions, interesting architectural and compositional techniques, and so on. I would particularly like to highlight the exhibition on park construction.

It was also heartening to see that the "Rebuild Karabakh" exhibition placed significant emphasis on inclusivity. The war has left behind people with physical disabilities who need comfortable movement spaces. This also applies to the elderly and children with disabilities.
The exhibition gives us the opportunity to understand that the spaces being created in the region are adapted for everyone.
